Experience the Arran Coastal Way - one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in Scotland. You will walk around the whole island and visit stunning places such as Goat Fell and Brodick Castle.
The 68 mile (109 km) Arran Coastal Way hiking route is one of our newest journeys. The Isle of Arran, situated in the Firth of Clyde between Ayrshire and Kintyre, is Scotland’s most southerly island and is often described as ‘Scotland in miniature’ with a Highland-Lowland divide passing right through its centre.
The scenery is a visual feast, from its spectacular coastline and rugged mountains to its picturesque villages and expansive sandy beaches. It’s a fascinating place to explore whether your interests lie in the great outdoors, history, geology or arts and crafts and is a popular destination for golfers boasting seven courses, including a unique twelve hole course. Arran has something to offer everyone.
Walking the 68 miles (109 km) along this stunning coast can sometimes be quite challenging, but you’re rewarded with breathtaking scenery throughout the trip. Along the way you can marvel at the island’s highest point Goat Fell 874 metres (2867 ft), explore pretty villages such as Corrie and Sannox, take a tour of 13th century Brodick Castle and so much more.
