Speyside Way Adventure Journey

With time on our side, we will pay a visit to at least one of them for a “wee dram”. The Spey is one of Britain’s premiere salmon fishing rivers with an abundance of wildlife around its banks. The highlight however will surely be in its many fun & exciting Grade II rapids or its tranquil end at Spey Bay spotting dolphins.

Important Information / Grade & Experience

The Speyside Way Adventure is a 5 day and 4 night journey. By their very nature journeys on the water can be affected by weather and other environmental factors. Your guide/s may have to alter the itinerary to ensure group safety.

The Speyside Way Adventure is moderately challenging. It is suitable for water-confident people with little or no experience. We can offer 1 or 2 day canoe skills courses prior to your trip is you wish.

The Speyside Way Adventure Trip Itinerary! 

Day 1: Canoe & Bike Kingussie to Aviemore

Day 2: Steam-train & Bike Aviemore to Grantown on Spey

Day 3: Bike & Canoe Grantown on Spey to Ballindalloch

Day 4: Canoe Ballindalloch to Craigellachie

Day 5: Canoe Craigellachie to Spey Bay

Depart; Meeting in Newtomore at 10am on departure day. Or stay with us at Craigower Lodge in Newtonmore.

Finishing Day; After the Speyside Way Adventure Trip, we will drop you off at the bus,train or near to your accommodation in Inverness around 3pm

• – Camping equipment is included
• – Canoes & Bikes including all equipment
• – Highly experienced & qualified guide/s for the whole trip
• – Cost excluding food.
• – There will be a food kitty* of approx £10 per person per day.

*The food kitty allows for communal food to be purchased; cereal, milk, bread, tea etc for the group for the duration of the trip. This is a great way to ensure you have food provisions as there is not always access to convenience shops for fresh produce. By their very nature journeys in remote or mountainous country can be affected by weather and other environmental factors. Your guide/s may have to alter the itinerary to ensure group safety.
