Meet Myra Wilson at Scottish Canals

Myra works at Scottish Canals, which looks after Scotland’s canals, conserving them as part of our heritage and transforming them to play a vital role in Scotland today.

Myra Wilson

“I have been working at Scottish Canals within the holiday boats team for just over two years now. After years of working inside with retail and office jobs, I love being outdoors in my job and giving our visitors a 5-star experience, which is what we strive to do for each individual.

I have a campervan and travel to many secluded corners of Scotland, from the fishing villages of the Moray coast to the rugged mountains and islands in the north west.

I love how you can go to a beach in Scotland that looks like it’s in the Caribbean but be the only person on it! Scotland definitely is the place to recharge after all the chaos of the past few months.”

If you’d like to discover the north of Scotland then you may enjoy our west coast itinerary, which will lead you north into the highlands from Glasgow. Or try our east coast itinerary, which will lead you north to the Moray coast from Edinburgh.

The North Coast 500 driving route may also be of interest. Starting and ending in Inverness, it will lead you along the most northernly coastline of the Scottish mainland, filled with incredible golden beaches and unforgettable landscapes!
