Nestled on the west coast of Scotland in the picturesque village of Clynder, Gareloch Cottage is situated on a peninsula between Loch Long and Gareloch.
Cool in the summer and cosy in the winter, it's a beautiful location to visit all year round. Our pretty cottage is a unique stay to enjoy a relaxing break in a stunning coastal setting. Book for a special occasion or to explore the magnificent scenery - it's set up for both couples; groups of up to 4 people and 1 well behaved furry friend.
Guest's love our18ft private decked first-floor terrace which offers uninterrupted views to the front across Gareloch and the surrounding hills.
Directly opposite the cottage is a shingle beach which is perfect to take lazy walks along, watching the boat activity around the loch. Along the winding Peninsula are endless pebbly beaches with expansive views across the mountains and it's also a favourite spot for fishing. A local pub, The Creggans is less than 10 minutes drive away and serves the best fresh scampi and chips we've eaten!
The house is ideally situated to visit local beauty spots including Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, several National nature reserves and iconic historical castles such as Inverary. Glasgow airport is about a 40 minute drive and you can get to Edinburgh for a day trip within approx one hour.
