About Egroeg:
We are sorry, but Egroeg is now closed for the foreseeable future - we hope you are successful in finding alternate accomodation for your visit to Skye.
Egroeg B&B - Egroeg B&B is a contemporary, architect designed, “upside down” house – with two guest bedrooms (all en-suite) on the ground floor and superb views - across The Minch, to N. Uist & Harris - from the split-level first floor, where the living-area and kitchen-dining area are all seamlessly integrated into a large open-plan living space.

Location - Lochbay is located on the Waternish peninsula - the following distances & times may be of use;
- Armadale (ferry) - 50 miles (75 minutes)
- Kyle of Lochalsh (Skye Bridge) - 50 miles (75 minutes)
- Portree - 22 miles (30 minutes)
- Uig (ferry) - 30 miles (45 minutes)
Bedrooms – One “double” (en-suite shower-bath) and one “twin” (en-suite shower). Both bedrooms are carpeted throughout and have built-in cupboards, complete with hair dryer, hanging-space & storage baskets. The double beds are "double" (not "King" or "Queen" size).
Duration of Stay - 2 nights (Minimum) to 5 nights (Maximum).
En-suite - Complementary toiletries – Scottish Soaps (Sea Kelp). Bathrobes available on request.
Breakfast – Traditional Cooked or Continental breakfast will be provided – normally between 07:30-09:00 but times can be adjusted on request.
Tea & Coffee – Guests are welcome to make use of the kitchen facilities whenever tea/coffee is required. There are no facilities for making tea/coffee in the guest bedrooms.
Evening meals - There are a number of restaurants within easy drive (15 minutes) of Egroeg B&B - without the need to drive into Portree. Details will be included in the Deposit Payment confirmation email.
Dietary Requirements – If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact us (by email) at time of booking.
Living area (first floor) - In the evening, guests are welcome, and encouraged, to share the first floor living area with both the owners & fellow guests.
Children – The open plan design of the first floor includes a low wall (100cm) between the lounge and the stair-well. Therefore, we regret we cannot accept bookings for family groups that include minors (less than 16 years old).
Pets – Lochbay is a crofting community (sheep farming) and therefore, we regret we cannot accept bookings from guests with dogs - or any other animals (sorry).
Room Servicing - All rooms will be serviced daily.
Heating - All bedrooms are heated via under floor heating (Air Source Heat Pump).
Air-conditioning (A/C) - Egroeb B&B does not have air-conditioning.

Attractions:
The Isle of Skye has a plentyful supply of things to do & places to see - far more than can be achieved in a week. A list of suggestions will be included in the Deposit Payment Confirmation (email).
Miscellaneous:
Parking – ample off-road parking (2-3 cars).
WiFi – free, throughout the house
Television – a large flat-screen TV (FreeSat) is located in the communal living area and is available for use by guests - but the stunning views should keep you fully entertained.
Windows – each room is well lit by individually tailored windows, designed to maximise the views over Lochbay.
Blackout blinds - During the Summer months, the days are long and the nights are short. All rooms are equipped with blackout blinds &/or heavy curtains.
Utility Room facilities – washing machine, tumble dryer & drying rack – these facilities can be made available to guests on request.
Smoking – outside only (please).
Slippers – We respectfully request that guests remove their outdoor shoes in the entrance lobby - slippers or socks are the preferred indoor footwear.
Safety - Egroeg is fitted with smoke alarms and equipped with fire extinguisher and fire blanket.
USB - Recharging plugs (triple) available in each bedroom.

Booking Terms & Conditions:
Enquiries/Bookings: - All bookings must be made by internet (VisitScotland.com) or email (see above). PLEASE include the names of ALL guests in the initial booking.
Same-day Booking - Sorry, but we cannot accept "same-day" bookings.
Payment(s) - At present we do NOT accept credit (debit) card payments.
The following payment methods are available:
- PayPal - Deposit/Balance/Total
- BACS (Bank Transfer) - Deposit/Balance/Total
- Cheque (UK banks ONLY) - Deposit/Balance/Total
- Cash (on arrival) - Balance ONLY (Deposit MUST be payed by one of the methods above). Please do NOT send cash in the post.
Invoice - You will receive a confirmation email shortly after you make a booking. We will receive a copy of the confirmation email.
You will receive a (PayPal) invoice - normally within 24hrs. If you do not receive a (PayPal) invoice within 24hrs. please email us.
The invoice will be for the "total" cost of the booking.
Guests staying for more than a single night have the option of paying a "deposit" - equal to the (total) cost of the first nights stay - and can then pay the "balance" up to, and including, arrival.
The (PayPal) invoice will include bank details for those guests wishing to pay by BACS (bank transfer) or by Cheque (UK banks ONLY). You will receive a confirmation of payment (email) - normally within 24hrs. of receiving your payment.
Handling Charge - The (PayPal) invoice will include a "handling charge" (£20.00) to cover any PayPal/BACS fees.
NB. The handling charge - less any PayPal/BACS fees incurred, will be refunded - in cash - on arrival.
If the PayPal/BACS fees exceed the Handling Charge, no further payment will be necessary.
UK guests (UK bank accounts), paying by BACS or cheque, can deduct the handling charge from their payment.
Liability – Egroeg B&B will not accept liability for injury or loss during your stay at Egroeg B&B.
Travel Insurance - Guests are strongly advised to arrange appropriate Holiday Cancellation insurance.
