The hotel has 37 en-suite rooms with a great range of facilities, our excellent harbour view restaurant offering an extensive menu featuring the best local produce has to offer, relaxing lounge, function rooms, lounge bar and public bar.
The Kirkwall Hotel is the perfect base to relax and forget about the stresses of everyday life, whether fine dining in our restaurant or a snack lunch in our lounge bar, a reviving coffee or something with a little more sustenance! A number of attractions and places of interest are in walking distance of the hotel, these include the stunning St Magnus Cathedral (click here for St Magnus Cathedral tour times ) – a must for anyone visiting Kirkwall, Earls & Bishops Palaces Kirkwall , Orkney Museum and Highland Park Distillery
There are also regular buses in the summer taking you to some of the most remarkable archaeological sites, namely Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and Ness of Brodgar - located in the World Heritage Site – The Heart of Neolithic Orkney).
Alternatively you can explore the Islands at your leisure by hiring a car – with sites well marked and easy to find.
