Sea and loch sailing is available in the near vicinity with the principal base being Kippford for sea sailing whilst Loch Ken provides opportunities for sailing and water skiing. Throughout the area there is sea, loch and course fishing and also, of course, golf with courses to suit all abilities with the charming Colvend course being with in walking distance and only slightly further afield is the challenging Southerness Championship Links Course (Seven miles).
