’The Secret Studio’, is a boutique bothy that sleeps two adults, nestled against the beautiful bluebell wood of Senwick and set on the banks of our wee lochan. Here you can relax in the peaceful surroundings of the beautiful Galloway countryside on our traditional livestock farm and alpaca trekking centre. From the sedum roof, to sustainable building materials and solar powered electric we have worked with our architects to create a sustainable space which sits as one within its natural surroundings. The studio has been designed to reflect our belief in working with nature but this does not mean that you have to compromise on the little luxuries! Curl up in front of our cosy log burner, enjoy a relaxing bath with its own private window onto the lochan or lie in our spacious custom made bed watching the stars through the secret sky light! Every detail has been thought of to make this a unique and exciting place to stay!
Unique to the area The Secret Studio includes a dedicated studio space(from which its name is derived) perfect for expression in arts, music and writing. Nearby Kirkcudbright is renowned as the ‘artists town’ what better place than this to ‘draw’ inspiration for your artistic endeavours?
Woodland and beach walks are but a stride away from your front door, within Senwick Wood whilst hidden beaches, coves and caves are doted along our immediate coastline with hundreds more waiting to be explored along the solway coast!
Uniquely you can also join us for an alpaca trek on our farm to experience the wonder and warmth of our adorable alpacas first hand as you lead them through our beautiful countryside getting to know our curious and friendly alpacas as you go!
When the day draws to an end we experience the most glorious sunsets, followed by the inky skies located as we are, on the edge of the Dark Sky Park.
