The Hillside Hideaway

The Hillside Hideaway is a chic, modern retreat that sits on its own in a dramatic hillside situation looking out over stunning Loch Harport, just half a mile from Carbost on the scenic Isle of Skye.
The house has been built right into the hillside to make the very most of the incredible view and it has good green credentials with its air source heat pump and unusual ‘living roof’ where various plants grow. Once inside the amazing vista is quite captivating and is showcased by huge floor to ceiling windows that have been used on two whole sides of the main living area to draw you in the minute you enter.
At the heart of the living area is a warming wood-burning stove and comfy seating to curl up on with dining behind and a neat kitchen area with a little utility room off it. A snug/office area has been set up behind the stove as an extra hideaway that is the perfect place to sit and read a book.
Doors lead from the dining area out to a wonderful deck that has further seating to admire the water from and is a lovely spot for enjoying some sunshine.
The master bedroom is colourful and luxurious with a TV and a spacious en suite bathroom with a double sink and the choice of a bath or a separate large walk-in shower.
Outside is a large gravelled parking area with a large turning area, room for up 2 cars and steps that lead down to the front door.
