The Art Lovers' Cafe, located on the ground level at House for an Art Lover, is a contemporary space with a fresh seasonal menu of the highest quality. Visitors can admire the surrounding artworks, or relax on the cafe terrace and enjoy the parkland setting. The building was originally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh back in 1901, but was only realised and opened to the public in 1996. We have a frequently changing art exhibition displayed within the cafe and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with the option to sit in outdoor terrace overlooking the surrounding parkland in the summer months.
UPDATE
ables within the cafe have been spaced to allow for 1m social distancing, with increased cleaning processes in place between bookings and a sanitiser staition on entry. There are perspex screens in place at pay points where contactless payment is recommended, plus our cafe team wearing face coverings throughout service.
Please be aware that the Cafe is accessed via the Art Lover's Shop so a face covering will be required upon arrival.
