Kirriemuir Camera Obscura was gifted to the town by Sir JM Barrie, creator of Peter Pan, along with the cricket pavilion in which it is situated and opened by the author on 7th June 1930.
One of only four in Scotland, Kirriemuir Camera Obscura boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The Camera Obscura is completely self- funding and is entirely managed and staffed by Kirriemuir Regeneration Group volunteers. The group was formed to prevent the closure of this valuable and rare asset.
