The excellent condition of the course, combined with the subtly sloping greens and the changing sea breezes, provide a fine test of golf for both high and low handicappers. There are three short holes, 14 par fours, one par five and a large practice area next to the first tee.
The County is one of the most popular holiday golf courses in Dumfries & Galloway. The excellent course drainage and the very mild climate means the course is playable year round, with great value winter membership offers reflecting this seasonal appeal.
The County welcomes all visiting parties and because of its popularity during the summer months it is advisable to book early to avoid possible disappointment. There is a good range of equipment, trollies and buggies available for hire, and catering available by arrangement for visiting groups. Golfing parties and tee times should be booked in advance.
Course Highlight
The par 4 12th is the signature hole, starting with a daunting tee shot from an elevated tee, with out of bounds tight all the way down the right hand side. You’re normally hitting into a prevailing wind which adds to the challenge of this enjoyable hole.

Add Stranraer and Portpatrick for a wonderful trilogy of Galloway golf at its very best.
