Day's Itinerary:
- Drive south from Edinburgh into the wooded hillsides of the Borders region.
- Climb to the summit of the Three Brethren to admire the fine cairns built 500 years ago.Walk grading: A moderate to strenuous hill climb along well defined tracks and paths. Distance: 7kms. Height Gained: 380m.
- Drive along the picturesque Tweed valley to Traquair House for lunch and try the challenging tease of its fine maze.
- Driving on along the attractive Tweed valley, we will come to the third attraction of the day amongst the majestic trees and woodland gardens of the fine botanical gardens at Dawyck
- After strolling around the many paths of this hillside, enjoy an afternoon coffees in this beautiful setting and browse the good quality gift shop.
