It's one of the most photogenic cities in the world, but it can sometimes be difficult and time consuming to work out the best locations. David will meet you at your hotel and guide you around all the city's very best photography spots - some iconic and some only the locals know about.

Keen Instagrammer, enthusiast or professional, it doesn't matter what camera you use - smartphone, compact, mirrorless or DSLR, David will help you get the shots you want.

As well as showing you the very best photography spots, David, a local of 46 years, will share with you his very best photography tips and a little bit of history along the way.

David is a twice Commended finalist in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year awards 2017 & 2018. • Our 5 hour, private photography tour is for up to 4 people and costs £199. A sandwich lunch and separate coffee break is included in the price.

Discover a different side of Edinburgh

David is such a genuine guy and so passionate about photography and the city of Edinburgh, that it's impossible not to have a fantastic time with him! His knowledge of the city is second to none and he showed us all the nooks and crannies and his favourite picture spots. Our tour was a very well balanced mix of background information, fun facts, photography chat and laughter! While my partner is a hobby photographer in the first steps of going freelance, I merely joined the tour with my mobile phone camera and curiosity. David did amazingly well at accommodating both our interests and giving us useful advice. We definitely felt like we were in the best hands and can't wait to spend more time with David during our next visit!

Amazing tour - exceeded my expectations! 

This is my first tripadvisor recommendation ever... The tour I had with David was outstanding (I cannot imagine any other vendor that provides you such a personal tailor-made tour). He showed me places I would have never discovered with a guidebook, but also visited some of the tourist hotspots. David is such a passionate photographer, you really feel he loves his work and the tours. With less effort (e.g. only changing the angle a little) the pictures I shot with David improved a lot compared to those I have taken. They are the favourite ones of my Scotland holiday - I can't wait to show them to my friends and family. To put it in a nutshell: The tour was absolutely worth it!
