The beautiful Loch Ard Forest has an extensive network of forest roads and footpaths for walking, cycling and horse riding. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Ben Lomond, Loch Ard provides the perfect destination for an adventure with the family. There are countless woodland routes and established paths to explore. There are also a number of challenging downhill routes for cyclists.
The forest is home to an abundance of wildlife and plant life such as deer, capercaillie, red squirrel and woodpecker, so remember to stop off at the wildlife hide to see wild animals beside the Loch. The Family Friendly Sculpture Park offers visitors a chance to learn about the diverse ecology of the forest through a number of interactive games that reveal interesting wildlife facts.
The Loch also provides visitors with the opportunity to go fishing, sailing or try watersports.
