Walkers are spoilt for choice with at least 3 Munro's within driving distance, not to mention the stunning waterfalls and gorges of the Birks Moness Burn. The property even provides bike storage for anyone looking to take advantage of the local mountain biking routes of Camserney and Dull Wood.
For any country sport enthusiasts, brown trout and salmon fishing is available on the Rivers Lyon, Tay, Dochart and Tummel, though licenses are required and shooting and stalking is available on a number of local estates.
Aberfeldy itself is only 3 miles away and the local facilities catered for all with an array of shops, delis and restaurants, along with Birks cinema for film and live theatre showings and Breadalbane Community campus with Sports and Leisure -Outdoor pitches, fitness suite, dance studio, squash courts, swimming pool, climbing wall, indoor sports halls and Dewar's distillery in on the edge of the town. Day trips to the larger cities of Perth and Stirling allow you to take in the Scottish Piping Centre and of course the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle; other visits out can be made to Pitlochry with it's famous for the salmon fish ladder, theatre and Blair Athol whisky distiller and you can continue a bit further north to enjoy extensive retail therapy at The House of Bruar which also offers restaurant facilities, there is a designated trail to visit the Bruar waterfalls too.
Glenshee ski and snowboard centre is only a 40 minute drive with the UK's most extensive skiing and snowboarding facilities which include 22 lifts and 36 runs, the centre also offers an amazing diversity of natural terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders.
