For camping in a beautiful natural environment, with campfires and great facilities, welcome to Comrie Croft Eco Camping.
Make life easy with one of the Nordic Katas - large tipi style tents with an alpine style bed and a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy (1 tub of firewood included). The katas are mostly set in the birch woodland glades, together with a hammock, outside firepit and outhouse. One is located on the Low Meadow for ultimate convenience. Equipped with all the camping essentials for cooking and eating for 4 people they can easily accommodate a family of 6 - you just bring the extra place-settings. Apart from that all you really need to bring are sleeping bags/bedding and a towel for the piping hot showers!
If you are bringing your own tent you have a choice of 3 scenic areas to pitch - and not a caravan in sight! The High Meadow and Low Meadow both take any size of tent, though you just pay per person. There are individual firepits for your use. Firewood can be collected for free in certain areas (please ask), you can bring your own or you can buy sacks of logs. Woodland pitches are restricted in size to a standard 4-person tent or smaller. The woodland pitches are set in their own little clearings.
Whatever option you choose you'll have access to 230 acres of land that is gradually being rewilded. There are lots of opportunities to spot wildlife including red kites, deer and squirrels, with 4 way-marked paths and some waterfalls. There are also purpose built bike trails to explore. Bike hire and guiding available at the Bike Shop. When you've had your fill of all the healthy exercise to be had why not flop into the Tea Garden Cafe which is full of tempting home-baking, amazing coffee, breakfasts and lunches.
