Ederline is a private hill farm estate set in Argyll about 12 miles north up the coast from Lochgilphead. An unspoilt landscape of mature woods, wild moors, babbling network of burns and lochs, impressive rocky hills and an abundance of wildlife. The cottages are tucked away in seperate locations on a working hill farm only ten minutes off the coastal road. We encourage our guests to come and watch the lambing and calving in the spring, the clipping in the summer and help with gathering through out the year.
We have five seperately located cottages and a farmhouse sleeping 2-10 guests. All the cottages have Wifi, except Finchairn Cottage which is our media detox cottage! All the cottages have docking stations, satellite TVs, DVD players and walk-in showers and/or baths. They are all well equipped to create a true 'Home from Home'.
The area is rich in history and archaeological sites with the main concentration in the Kilmartin Glen where the cottages are located. On the estate itself we have a two ancient chapels and Finchairn Castle to be explored.
We have an abundance of lochs to fish for wild brown trout in the hill lochs and pike/perch on Loch Ederline. A mass of wildlife to see with Ospreys nesting on the main loch every spring, red deer grazing around the cottages and a pair of golden eagles up on the moor.
As a guest on the estate you are welcome to wander as far as you like and explore this land of outstanding natural beauty.
