With private rooms, Flora MacDonald Hostel is a great base and location for single travelers; couples or groups. Set in an elevated position offering stunning views across to the Knoydart coastline, the hostel is situated only 2 miles north of Armadale ferry. *PLEASE NOTE WE WILL CLOSE ON 30TH OCTOBER 2020. HOWEVER, AFTER THIS DATE WE WILL BE OPEN FOR GROUPS MINIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE UP TO 22. £15.00 PER HEAD PER NIGHT, UNTIL 30TH MARCH 2021*

The Flora Macdonald Independent Hostel is set on the beautiful Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. It has stunning views over the Sound of Sleat to the mountains of mainland Scotland opposite. It is in a peaceful location, perfect for visiting local attractions. Individual and group bookings are welcome. The Hostel is an ideal budget accommodation for visitors arriving or leaving via the Mallaig-Armadale ferry. It has been run for over twenty years by local crofter Peter Macdonald. Full central heating, hot showers, modern kitchen, pine and bunk beds, laundry, drying room and WiFi access. Eriskay ponies are on the croft also.

The Flora Macdonald Hostel has now converted its dormitories into private rooms. This means that we can offer budget private rooms for two, three, four, six and 10 people. For group bookings we can accept twenty guests. The hostel has been a very popular destination for over twenty with several of the groups who stay returning year on year.

Prices quoted are per room :-

2 x 2 bed rooms at £50 each
1 x 3 bed room : £66 (en-suite)
2 x 6 bed rooms at £111 (en-suite) each

Last check-in is at 8pm
CREDIT & DEBIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED

From 1st October 2019 to 31st March 2020 we offer the following special prices under the following conditions:
During the winter we only accept groups numbering from 6 to 25 persons AND for a minimum of TWO nights stay, for just £15 GBP per person per night.
