Knockinaam Lodge is open all year, every day. At Christmas we offer a 3 day package from Christmas Eve, and also a 3 day package for a Traditional Scottish Hogmanay from 30th December. Please contact the hotel for availability and prices.

Easily accessible by road, rail or ferry.

Road - Knockinaam Lodge is approximately 3 miles from our nearest village (Portpatrick) and 8.5 miles from the town of Stranraer. Glasgow is 95 miles from the Lodge and is approximately a 2 hour drive while Carlisle is 110 miles and approxmiately a 2.5 hour drive.

Rail - The nearest railway station is Stranraer (8.5 miles from the Lodge). Taxi transfers can be arranged with prior notice.

Ferry - Stena Line operates six sailings per day between Cairnrayn and Belfast and P&O operates sailings from Larne to Cairnryan. Cairnryan is 14.5 miles from the Lodge / 30 minutes by car.

Reductions on the nightly rate are available for longer stays.
All rates are inclusive of luxury overnight accommodation, dinner (a seven course 'taster' menu which changes on a daily basis), traditional Scottish breakfast and VAT.
Also available - special breaks for example Gourmet Weekends, Wellness weekends,Murder Mystery etc.

New to Knockinaam Lodge, we are offering Explorer rates, which allow guests discover Dumfries & Galloway at their leisure, offering 5 nights or 7 nights accommodation, with 3 or 5 evening meals during the stay.

This lets you go and explore places further away, without rushing back to the hotel for dinner.

There are day trips to Belfast offering the Titanic Museum or Giant Causway, Dumfries House in Ayr, Glasgow or Edinburgh for the day or just wanting to try somewhere else for dinner for a couple of evenings.

5 nights with 3 dinners or 7 nights with 5 dinners the option is yours.
