Welcome to Lochside Caravan & Camping Site. Situated overlooking the beautiful Carlingwark Loch yet within easy walking distance of Castle Douglas town centre and easily accesible from the A75 Euroroute making it an ideal base for exploring.

The site offers 108 caravan pitches with a combination of hard-standing and grass as well as a large separate area for tents. There are 98 serviceable with 10 amp electric hook ups. Facilities include two toilet/shower blocks with disabled facilities, laundry and sinks for washing dishes.Fresh water is available throughout the site and dirty water and elsan disposal is also available.Access onto the site and to facilities is by means of a swipe card system obtained from the wardens office on arrival.The site also has 24 hour CCTV coverage.

There are a range of amenities on site including two childrens' play areas,boating on the Loch and free fishing for site residents.The site boasts a number of scenic walks of various lengths to take in the beauty of the Loch.

Local attractions not to be missed include Threave Castle and estate,Red Kite trail and feeding station and the stunning Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park.Castle Douglas being Dumfries and Galloway's Food Town offers a wide range of services close at hand to cater for your needs.
