Family run B&B in modern bungalow.situated on A980 in Royal Deeside, about a twenty minute drive from Banchory and a fifteen minute drive from Alford in a peaceful rural location. There are many visitors attractions within an hours drive away and the villages of Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar are within easy reach. All rooms are ensuite. Great base for visiting the many Castles, Distrilleries, Stone Circles, Highland Games and walks that the area offers throughout the season.

Mapleview is conveniently situated on A980, about a twenty minute drive from Banchory and fiteen minutes from Alford. (Guests may find it useful to take a note of the directions below as we are in a rural area but please do not hesitate to telephone if you have any difficulty). Mapleview is a modern bungalow and all rooms are en suite, have TV's, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers etc. Free Wifi is available. There is ample off road parking. The garden is available for guests to sit out and enjoy the surroundings. We are located in a peaceful location in Royal Deeside within driving distance of various castles, golf courses, walks and Highland Games such as Aboyne Games, Ballater Games, Braemar Gathering and Lonach Gathering. Craigievar Castle is only 2 miles away and Crathes, Drum, Braemar, Balmoral and Dunottar Castles are all within an hours drive away. There are a couple of pubs only a ten minute drive, the Commercial Hotel Tarland and Muggarthaugh Hotel near Alford. En route to Tarland you will pass the Queens View and Culsh Earth house. Alford Transport Museum and Heritage Centre are both worth a visit. A warm welcome awaits

Directions: From Banchory take the A980 at all times, this road takes you through the village of Torphins then on to Lumphanan. Take a right turn into the village of Lumphanan, still on the A980 following signs for Craigievar Castle or Alford and continue on this road going uphill for 3 miles until you come to a junction. At this junction take a right turn then first left still following signs for Alford and we are the first house on the right hand side.

From Alford take the A980 and follow this road all the way, past the road entrance for Craigievar Castle and we are approx two miles past the Castle entrance on the left hand side of the road.

From Aberdeen we are beside the junction where the B9119 and the A980 cross over heading towards Alford
