We offer Self-catering lodges on an organic farm in peaceful, secluded surroundings. Ideal retreat or base from which to explore our local area.
Self-cater on our organic farm in peaceful, secluded surroundings. Ideal retreat or base from which to explore our local area. This unit comfortably accommodates 2-4 people sharing, plus an extra 2 on the sofas. Our Lodges are finished to a high specification, with consideration given to low impact, environmentally-friendly aspects in all areas. We have 3 Lodges, each with 2 separate studios, one Open Plan and one Twin with separate bedroom. This listing is for a whole Lodge, with both studios rented as one unit. Our Lodges are located on our family-run farm which is also host to a number of small land based and craft businesses. We offer mid-week stays (Monday - Friday), weekend stays (Friday - Monday) or week-long stays (Friday - Friday or Monday - Monday).
The space
Each whole Lodge has 2 en-suite wet rooms with shower and plenty of hot water, and 2 kitchenettes with all you need to cook your own meals, including kettle, toaster, teapot, cafetiere, cutlery, plates, mugs, glasses, utensils and pans. We provide a tea towel and eco-friendly dish washing and cleaning products. Beds can be configured as 2 singles (190X75) or 1 double (190x150) and the sofas can sleep 2 extra people for a small additional charge of £10 per person per night. Bedding, towels and bed linen are provided. There is a covered veranda with steps at either end.
Guest access
Have a picnic or play games on the paddock just outside your door, or enjoy wandering around the areas beside the ponds and burn. There is a BBQ and fire pit which can be used by prior arrangement. We have a wealth of plants, insects, birds and wildlife on the farm to explore and enjoy. On farm activities such as wild foraging, bird language, bushcraft, stargazing, spinning, felting, basket weaving or meeting our flock of friendly sheep can be arranged. Please enquire about and book these activities separately in advance.
Other things to note
The single bed size (75 wide), including the sofa, is slightly smaller than the traditional standard (100 wide).
Let us know when you book if you would like your beds configured as 2 singles or 1 double, and whether you prefer feather or synthetic duvets and pillows.
Free WIFI / broadband is included but can be unreliable.
