Combining the best of seaside and countryside our popular park is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of wooded hills and next to one of Scotland’s finest sandy beaches on the Colvend Coast.

When planning a seaside family holiday, the direct access to this superb long sandy beach makes Sandyhills Bay a number one choice.

Our two and three bedroom holiday home caravans are available for let for weekly or short break bookings. All have double glazing, full central heating and are well equipped.

Alternatively if you are planning to bring your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent there are heated toilet and shower facilities with laundry and washing up sinks.

But if you prefer to upgrade why not leave your tent at home and come glamping in one of our cosy A-pods which have the added luxury of heating, fridge, microwave, TV and electric kettle.

The park has a well stocked shop, a take-away and children’s play area.

At Sandyhills Bay you do not have to travel far to find holiday activities. Only a short walk away are a riding centre, an 18 hole golf course, an indoor swimming pool and eating out facilities. The coastal walk to Rockcliffe starts from Sandyhills Bay and has spectacular views across the Solway Firth to Cumbria.

Also nearby are the RSPB reserve at Mersehead and the yachting village of Kippford. Dalbeattie Forest has miles of fantastic walking trails, abundant wildlife and the popular 7 Stanes mountain bike trail. Nearer Dumfries are the Mabie Farm Park, the John Paul Jones Cottage Museum and Sweetheart Abbey.
