Snowy River Lodge hosts an impressive selection of features and is decorated with a creative assortment of skiing and North American memorabilia ensuring that any holiday here will be truly memorable. The owners have designed a lodge to be enjoyed in all seasons with cosy log fire place inside and extensive outdoor relaxation and activity areas which boast a fabulous hot tub, barrel sauna, BBQ, and fire pit.
Superlatives fail to capture the ambience of this exceptional lodge. The bespoke and sumptuous lounge area is designed for entertaining and relaxing. Its snugly rustic atmosphere is decorated with high quality furniture, Highland and Ski memorabilia, a cosy log stove and a 52inch TV Freeview TV, all making this an ideal place for relaxing with your morning coffee, savouring a drink after a day out in the area, or unwinding after that big family meal.
The lounge opens out into a dining kitchen area which has a bespoke table made from locally sourced Douglas Fir timber that provides ample seating for all of your guests. The kitchen is equipped with double oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, 2 wine fridges, washing machine and a tumble drier, plus all the modern kitchen tools any chef could need.
The lodge’s exterior space has been as carefully created to deliver this same upscale relaxation to the outdoors. A large, private and sunny riverfront multi layer deck area is accessed through 2 sets of patio doors. On the upper deck sits a unique and stunning hand carved bench styled table to enjoy meals in the open air; a gate leads to the lower spa deck where a magnificent “Barrel” sauna awaits to warm you to the core. An 8 person hot tub is located as the deck steps down to the river, so that as you luxuriate in the bubbles, you can hear and see the river flowing by. Next to the hot tub is an open fire pit – a concept befitting the theme of the old pioneering days—when everyone sits around the fire to reminisce about the day’s activities, often with a sundowner or after-dinner coffee. Curved stone steps take you further down to the banks of the Dulnain River to explore rock pools and sandy patches ideal for paddling, fishing, and night stargazing, or merely watching the river drift by.
