The Art Bank is an eclectic, luxury B & B with 3 rooms themed on artists. There is the Van Gogh room - Sunflowers & Starry Night, the Picasso room - Cubist and colourful, the Monet room - soft colours with calming water lilies.

The property was built in 1863 and was the local Clydesdale bank for 50 years in the town. Recently renovated throughout to a high standard, the host Mandy is an artist and author who helps creative women to grow their businesses.

There are stunning features that have been rediscovered and lovingly brought back to life, such as the staircase, unused fireplaces, decorative coving and an arched window.

The rooms have been designed around the work of 3 well known artists, Van Gogh, Picasso and Monet so that your stay will be an experience.

Art from local artists and artisans as well as Mandy and her clients is for sale at the property so the whole house feels like a giant gallery with lots of interesting work in different styles.

The rooms have luxury furnishings and quirky details that will delight and keep you intrigued during your stay.

The breakfast is served in the beautiful dining room on the ground floor and is a substantial full Scottish or your choice of alternatives. We cater for food preferences and nothing s too much to ask for.

Mandy and her team want you to love your room, your breakfast and the experience you have at The Art Bank.

There are 2 floors, so there are stairs to contend with with 2 of the rooms on the second floor and one on the first floor.

The Van Gogh bedroom has a private bathroom with bath and over bath waterfall shower. The top floor rooms share a luxury bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower with the best view in the house of the mountains that 'hug' Dalbeattie.
