This is a unique 4-tent campsite, in line with Lazy Duck's green practices (GTBS Gold Award) and out of respect for what is a pristine environment. A priority is to welcome & enchant our campers whilst inviting them to help protect the peacefulness and the wildlife in this beautiful and secluded location.
Used by travellers and traders more than a hundred years ago, this forest clearing was once full of the regular comings and goings of camp dwellers with simple canvas shelters, cooking fires and tethered horses, bound for the 'Wool Fair' in Inverness.
Campers now pitching under the same 150 year old Caledonian pine trees have the use of a flush toilet with washbasin, a hot-and-cold washing-up space, an adventurous hot-water 'bush shower', a specially built wet-weather cooking shelter with an outdoor chiminea fire. Free range eggs and organic veg are often available.
For lazy days there's also a hammock or two under the pine trees, a 2-person infrared 'Woodshed Sauna' with music and a wood fired hot tub with a view to the mountains. Deep tissue massage from a local practitioner can sometimes be arranged for you in our Well Being Studio.
