The Lazy Duck — a tranquil elemental-retreat in Nethy Bridge. Stay in off-grid woodland huts, a cosy bunkhouse, or a family cottage. Reconnect with nature through wood-fired showers, simple living, forest paths and starry nights. Enjoy our sauna (Toast), co-working hut (Head|Space), and wellbeing studio (Breathing Space). The Lazy Duck is a unique retreat on the edge of Nethy Bridge, offering guests a chance to pause, restore, and reconnect with nature, and themselves. With woodland huts, a cottage, co-working space, and
wellbeing facilities, it blends elemental simplicity and style, providing the foundation for a calming break from every-day life.

Accommodation
Guests can choose from three elemental and romantic two-person huts, a four-person bunkhouse, or a more conventional five-person cottage. The huts and bunkhouse are intentionally rustic. Water is carried, showers are heated on a stove and poured into a bucket, and compost toilets are part of the experience. This “almost off-grid” approach is designed for those who value reconnection, adventure, and wellbeing over convenience.

Beyond the Huts
The Lazy Duck is building a broader role: a co-working space (Head|Space) for those blending escape with occasional work, a new sauna (Toast), and breathing space, a wellbeing studio connecting visitors to local
therapists and practitioners. Our polytunnel, used by local florist, reflects the wider aim of weaving community and creativity into the fabric of the site.
