Stay in a little piece of history when you stay in this beautiful cosy cottage. Some parts dating back to 1806, the house was totally renovated in 2012 to provide a stunning balance of modern luxury with uniquely beautiful period features.

The Old Smithy is a charming two bedroom cottage located in an elevated position on the banks of the River Nethy with a beautiful enclosed, lawned garden. Some wooden steps lead you down to a breathtaking seating area on the river bank to enjoy some summer evening relaxation or informal fishing, bird and nature watching. The newly renovated open plan kitchen/diner is arranged around a huge stone fireplace with wood burning stove and the new iving room has views out across the south facing garden.

On a charming quiet street, just a short walk from the beautiful village of Nethy Bridge, The Smithy is in the perfect location to admire the local wildlife literally from your doorstep or if you feel like venturing out, you are in the very heart of the Cairngorms National Park with a multitude of restaurants and activities to choose from.
