Voyage en France
7th March 2021, 3pm
Ravel: Le tombeau de Couperin
Mozart: Flute concerto in G major
Bizet: Symphony in C major
Ravel effortlessly captures this in his tribute to the Baroque dance suite and a disarmingly young Bizet shows more than a hint of what is to come in his sparkling symphony. In between, Mozart joins us in Paris with a beautifully poised concerto he wrote on the way, played by the former Principal Flute of the Berlin Philharmonic.
