The Harbourmaster's House is home to Fife Coast and Countryside Trust and Fife’s coastal centre. It offers information on the history of, and things to see and do on, the Fife Coastal Path.
The Harbourmaster's House is a B-listed 19th century building, which sits next to the historic Dysart harbour and is the HQ of the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust. The building houses Fife’s first Coastal Centre where you can find out more about the famous Fife Coastal Path. The centre also has interactive displays on the historic region, the North Sea and the ancient trading routes between Europe and Dysart.
On the ground floor you will also be able to enjoy a bistro which serves a fine selection of homebaking, hot and cold snacks, sandwiches, paninis, warming meals, tea, a range of coffees and soft drinks. Toilets are also available in the building which is open 7 days a week. Please check the Fife Coastal Path website for opening times.
The Harbourmaster’s House is a great location to visit before you start on your journey along the Fife Coastal Path. This long distance route around the coast gives you the chance to spot wildlife, investigate ancient religious sites, explore amazing geology and find out about the military history along Fife’s incredible coastline. Directions
From the M90 Motorway, Junction 4, take the A92 turning onto the A921 (Roslyn Street). Turn left at the 'T' junction onto Dysart Road. Then take the next right onto Hot Pot Wynd.
From Kirkcaldy take the A921 and follow the coast road which turns into the Dysart Road. Then turn right onto Hot Pot Wynd.
