West Coast Seafood Trail
Travel to the beautiful west coast of Scotland to experience the area which owes so much to fishing for what is acknowledged by many chefs as some of best seafood in the world. Enjoy great eating and drinking amongst stunning scenery.
Drive to West coast with various stops around Loch Awe and the sea loch Loch Etive. This route allows many, many chances to snap some fabulous photographs. Activities included on this tour include:
-visit the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary who support the sealife of the surrounding area.
-2 hour boat trip experiencing the landscape, seascape, wildlife, history and folklore of the area.
-visit the 14th century Castle Stalker on it's own island off the coast of Appin.
-Oban Distillery to discover the secret to the flavour of one of world's best known single malts.
-Inverawe Smokehouse to discover traditional methods of preparing and cooking fish mixing old and new.
-visit the 13th century stronghold of the MacDougalls, Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel. Meals will be at restaurants included in the Seafood trail listings as some of the best places to get best seafood available. A real treat!
