Travel bloggers Sam and Audrey had seen Highland Games in their native Canada, but on a recent visit to Scotland they got the chance to see a traditional Scottish Highland Games. Their trip took them to Dunoon, Argyll, for the famous Cowal Highland Gathering, the largest, most spectacular Highland games in the world.

As well as trying classic Scottish cuisine and seeing Highland dancing, the pipe band championships, and the heavy events, they got up close and personal with Alan Pettigrew, former Scottish heavy athlete and convener for the Cowal Highland Gathering.

Sam and Audrey's Scottish road trip also took them to Glasgow, a top destination for foodies and culture lovers, where they tasted their way around the city and explored a wealth of attractions.
