A Victorian townhouse in central Glasgow with chic interiors, breakfast served in your room and a huge choice of good restaurants nearby. www.15glasgow.com
This is a smart Glasgow address – bang in the middle of town, yet beautifully insulated from it. The house, grand Victorian, stands on an attractive square with communal gardens guests can enjoy. Inside, the feel is distinctly contemporary, despite a couple of Corinthian pillars in the entrance hall. It's all been beautifully renovated, and while technically you're in a B&B, the interiors here are a match for any boutique hotel.
Downstairs, a vast sitting room has a couple of squishy, comfy sofas. Bedrooms upstairs are no less generous. Those at the back are large, the suites at the front are huge. All come with super king-size beds, crisp white linen, handmade bedheads and each has a different Scottish theme - the Heather, the Thistle and the Tartan are large doubles whilst the Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Blue are suites. Suites have a few added extras: big sofas, beautiful windows across from park and the Trinity Towers, robes and the Blue has a double-ended bath overlooking the square.
Breakfast is served in the comfort of your room or you can request to eat in the lounge. As for dinner, you'll find excellent restaurants nearby: the Finnieston for seafood and gin cocktails; the Gannet for a flat-iron steak; Ben Nevis for a wee dram and live folk music most nights. The Ox and Finch is a firm favourite but do book in advance to avoid disappointment, Kelvingrove park and museum are on our doorstep.
We look forward to welcoming you to 15Glasgow
