2 Clifton Cottages is located on the edge of the village of Tyndrum in the Loch Lomond National Park. The cottage is an old miners' cottage and dates back to the 19th century. It is close to all local amenities, shops, petrol station, hotels and restaurants, but also just a few minutes away from hill or mountain walking. The local Munros of Ben Lui, Beinn Dubhchraig and Ben Oss can be walked easily from the cottage and the local Corbett of Beinn Odhar is an afternoon's hill walk.
The West Highland Way passes in front of the cottage and there are pleasant walks north to Bridge of Orchy or south to Crianlarich each of about 10 miles return, cycling would enable greater distances to be covered in an area of outstanding beauty. The local lead mine on the hillside also provides an interest, another walk can be taken to the top.
Glen Coe for walking and winter skiing is close, the village of Glencoe is about 40 miles away. Loch Lomond, where boat trips can be taken, is about 45 minutes away and the West coast towns of Fort William and Oban can easily be reached. Glasgow provides an excellent day out with shops, museums and other visitor attractions.
Road and rail links to Tyndrum are excellent and the village is served by Citylink buses.
The cottage has parking for two cars at the front, but off road. WiFi is provided.
