Sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms, 2 Letters is situated right on a secluded stretch of the shores of Loch Broom with uninterrupted and panoramic views in all directions. You literally cannot get closer to the water’s edge! The piece de resistance is the large sun room at the front of the house with 180 degree views, where one can spend many hours relaxing whatever the weather. Wildlife is abundant with resident otters, seals and herons, as well as porpoises in warmer weather and it is possible to fish or canoe off the beach in front of the house. Walk up the hill behind the property for views out to Ullapool, the Summer Isles and the mountains beyond.
The spacious holiday cottage provides comfortable and well equipped accommodation, with views across Loch Broom to Beinn Dearg and beyond. There is an open fire in the large sitting room, creating a wonderful warm atmosphere on colder evenings, and there is garden furniture which can be enjoyed in the warmer weather. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other a shower; both have a WC.
The house enjoys the best of both worlds in a really peaceful location, yet with Ullapool only a short 15 minute drive away with its shops, swimming pool/leisure centre, restaurants and cafes. There is a large amount of land around the house including woods for den making and it is the perfect place for dog owners. It is a great base for families or couples to explore this area of Northern Scotland, with its white sandy beaches, Munros and hill walks, boating activities and fishing. There are many craft shops and artists/pottery galleries locally, as well as weekly music sessions and, in the summer months, the local Ullapool Pipes and Drums display. Ullapool is also home to several superb festivals (Book Festival, Loopallu and Guitar Festival) and 2 Letters would be an excellent place to enjoy all the activities the festivals have on offer while staying in high quality accommodation. Trout and salmon fishing can be arranged on the owner’s stretch of the River Broom.
