Recently modernised and graded as 4 * by Visit Scotland to provide a well equipped and spacious holiday home for families and smaller groups.
The area has much to explore with the rich and varied Culture and History of Scotland well represented with nearby sites such as Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle all making a good day out. Inverness itself is only 20 minutes away by car which contrasts dramatically with the highland splendour of the Cairngorm Mountains which are only a 40 minute drive to the south.
As ever golf courses are a major attraction with the challenging Nairn Links course or the Nairn Dunbar, which combines both dunes and heathland holes for a varied days play. Walkers are well catered for with trails both along the dunes and beaches or inland through woods along riversides and minor roads to sites such as Cawdor Castle.
Nairn has a busy social scene with may lively and welcoming restaurants and Inns. As would be expected the town hosts it’s Highland Games each year in August, other events through the year include Book Fairs and Food Festivals. The annual September Coast to Coast Rat Run may be of interest to those of athletic mind with the opportunity to enjoy the challenge of a 105 mile run, ride and kayak which starts from nearby Cawdor Castle.
