LOCAL ATTRACTIONS INCLUDE:
Heriatge Castle - an awesome, eerie ruin, set in a lonely spot, Hermitage Castle has a history filled with intrigue, murders, trysts, torture and treason. Liddesdale Heritage Centre - gives you the full history of Liddesdale from rivers to the railway and weaving to farming and forestry. In the former Townfoot Kirk in Newcastleton, The Liddesdale Heritage Centre is a museum, that houses attractive displays portraying the history and culture of Liddesdale and its people. The Waverley Route, the churches, village shops and local trades, including farming, clogging, shoe making, weaving and joinery are all well represented.

Holm Hill Golf Course - this challenging 9-hole golf course provides magnificent views over Newcastleton and the Liddesdale hills.
