Peaceful, tranquil and comfortable bed and breakfast on the most southerly Hebridean Island of Gigha.
Achamore Lodge was built in 1895 and has been home to gamekeepers, gardeners, factors, holiday makers and now myself and my dog Luna.
Nestling in trees to the south of the island, the house was the Lodge house for Achamore House and later it’s world famous Achamore Gardens. It is a wonderfully peaceful place. With private gardens to the front with ‘tropical’ trees which host a spectrum of birds. The Lodge is a place which enables total rest and relaxation. Do read our reviews on TripAdvisor.
Achamore Lodge has spacious and comfortable guest rooms which open onto the gardens. I offer a full home cooked breakfast with eggs from my own hens and home baked preserves and occasionally bread. I can cater for diets or wishes.
There is limited mobile reception but there is wifi. More importantly we have the freshest of air, wide skies, walks, bird song and musical instruments aplenty. Due to the peaceful setting I also run retreat weekends where there will be a focus on singing, music, swimming or art.
Come visit, come relax, come enjoy Gigha.
