This select development, designed and built by local craftsmen, enjoys south facing panoramic vistas of Loch Ness, the village of Drumnadrochit and beautiful Glenurquhart. Each lodge is exceptionally comfortable and inviting and sleeps up to 6 guests in 2 king bedded rooms and one twin room, (8 and 9 have 1 king and 1 double bedded room and 1 twin). Type A lodges have a bathroom, separate toilet/shower room and wash basin, while others have all en suites. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard, they are all well insulated, fully double glazed and centrally heated, with patio or balcony so you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings outdoors. Lodges 7, 8 and the Green have a conservatory lounge, providing added space for relaxing and enjoying the views of Glenurquhart and Loch Ness.
The spacious lounge area of each house has a 3-2-1 seating arrangement and an open plan kitchen/dining area. Equipment includes fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, washing machine/dryer and all necessary crockery and cutlery to make your holiday comfortable. Achmony Lodges all have WiFi, hair dryer, television/DVD, CD/Radio players and Free to Air Satellite TV.
There is an information pack in each lodge and Ordnance Survey maps along with books and DVD's are available on loan from Reception.
Enjoy the wildlife on your doorstep: watch buzzards soaring above you, look out for deer peeping through your patio door at dusk ... spot pine marten, red squirrels and mountain hare in their natural habitat. A visit to Achmony is much more than an ordinary holiday ... it is an experience not to be missed. Elizabeth Mackintosh, the resident owner, has lived in Glenurquhart all her life as did her parents and grandparents before her. She has been in the self-catering business for over 40 years. Elizabeth regularly welcomes guests who visit Achmony 2 or 3 times a year. Achmony Holidays boasts an extraordinary rate of repeat business - this itself testifies to the quality of the experience guests enjoy. Most of our new visitors are from personal recommendation. Just ¼ of a mile away in Drumnadrochit you will find a post office, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants/ cafes, Loch Ness exhibition centre and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness with its interesting visitor centre. There are many spectacular designated walks, waterfalls, pony trekking, golf, fishing and boat trips on Loch Ness. You can also hire an electric bike from the HUB (in the carpark in the village) and explore on two wheels.
Around Achmony there are numerous attractions on your doorstep, not to mention Nessie hunting! Inverness is only 14 miles away and it is also an excellent base for an adventurous tour of the Highlands and Islands where you can take in many more castles, distilleries, lochs, idyllic white sandy beaches and 100s of the most magnificent mountains and Munros!
Since the site is on a steep hill, a car is advisable and there is ample parking.
All lodges are no smoking and regret we do not accept pets at Achmony.

From the nearest information centre:- From Inverness take A82 Inverness to Fort William Road, turn right at Drumnadrochit onto A831 Cannich Road for less than 200 metres. Turn right after Loch Ness Lodge Hotel signposted Achmony and proceed uphill for 700 metres to reception on right.
