Apartment three, Station Road is a charming first floor one-bedroom apartment in the market town of Haddington in East Lothian. Recently renovated to combine the old with the new – including some original Victorian features, and quirky contemporary details – with the number ‘3’ a recurring feature throughout.
The apartment originally formed part of a larger Victorian house, which had been converted into flats long ago by a local merchant, who wanted to provide accommodation for those visiting the nearby corn market.
The owner, Lorna, has spent much time carefully restoring apartment three by reinstating some of its original features, whilst upgrading and modernising its home comforts. Her aim was to create a relaxing, contemporary living space with more than a fleeting nod to its Victorian past.
