ARD MEANISH
If you are after a property with a view, then look no further. Ard Meanish, situated on the edge of Lower Milovaig on the Isle of Skye, boasts phenomenal panoramic views of the sea. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the Outer Hebrides. The property – it’s name meaning ‘Middle House’ - sits at the bottom of a hill, and is the nearest house to the water apart from an unused Fisherman’s Bothy at the bottom of the steep drop by the shore. The property is all on one level, and benefits from private parking in the double garage attached to the house. Ard Meanish has been fitted with gorgeous wooden floors throughout, and has been furnished to a modern standard. The large living and dining area has large windows that frame the amazing view perfectly, making it the perfect space for the family to spend their time. Dolphins, whales and basking sharks are often spotted from these windows, so get your binoculars at the ready for watching them chase after the boats out at sea! Each of the ensuite bedrooms has a view of the water, so nobody will miss out. Ard Meanish is also pet friendly, so the whole family can visit this lovely area of Scotland.
Ard Meanish can also be let with Eas Mor, which is situated further up the track. Eas Mor sleeps four, so together the properties can sleep 10 adults and one child. This is the perfect solution for larger parties that each require their own space at the end of the day.
Glendale is a great area to spend your self-catering holiday in. Neist Point Lighthouse is a fantastic place to visit and is situated a short walk away from Ard Meanish. The infamous Michelin star restaurant ‘The Three Chimneys’ is just a 5 minute drive away, with many other cafes and restaurants to visit in nearby Dunvegan. You can also visit the historic Dunvegan Castle and its gardens, where you can learn all about Clan MacLeod and go on boat trips to spot some seals.
