Beautiful travertine marble floors and solid oak finishing through out are only a few examples of the high quality finishes to be appreciated in this exceptionally well-appointed house. The bedrooms are all extremely spacious and the hand made king sized "Harrison" beds ensures an ideal resting place for all tired travellers. For those preferring an even more spacious bed the twin bedded room can be offered as a super-king (6ft wide).

Situated 1.3 miles south west of Linlithgow on the Lanark A706. Large B&B sign *Belsyde House and Arden Country Houase* at the main entrance - large set of pillars and pretty lodge cottage . Arden Country House is situated at the top of the driveway to the right.
The rural postcode EH49 6QE covers 2 mile and many GPS will identify the middle of the postcode at Bowden Spring Fishery. If travelling from the East ( from Linlthgow) , Bowden Spring is 0.3 mile beyond Arden Country House and if travelling from the west, guests will pass Bowen Springs Fishery on their right and Arden House is 0.3 miles further on, entrance is on the right.
From the nearest information centre:- Turn right out of Tourist Office onto Linlithgow High Street. Continue to roundabout & turn left- signposted A706. Continue out of town, under railway bridge, past rugby club & straight over mini roundabout- signposted Bathgate A706. After approx. 1/2 mile road crosses Union Canal. Entrance is 400m up on left. There is a Lodge Cottage at the entrance and signpost for Belsyde House and Arden Country House. Enter through the large set of pillars up the driveway. Arden House is on right. Situated 2 miles from town centre.
Getting there by railway:- Linlithgow Station is two and a half miles from Arden House. Exit Station onto Hight Street and turn left. Continue to roundabout at take first exit - continue to next roundabout and take 2nd exit signposted Lanark A706. (Bathgate Road) Continue 1.3 miles on crossing the Union Canal the entrance is 400m up on the left. There is a lodge cottage at the entrance and a sign for Belsyde House. Continue up the driveway and the house is on the right.
Getting there by aeroplane:- 11 miles from Edinburgh Airport. Follow M9 Glasgow/Stirling signs. At 2nd roundabout turn right onto A8(West). Follow dual carriageway to Newbridge roundabout. Take right lane at roundabout, then take exit 4 for M9 Linlithgow-Stirling/Forth Road Bridge. Exit Junction 3 , take left and follow the A803 into Linlithgow. Take 2nd exit at roundabout the at next roundabout turn right onto High Street. At next roundabout take 1st exit signposted A706, continue on this road passing under railway bridge at traffic lights to next roundabout and take 2nd exit to A706 out into the countryside. Approx. 1.1 mile the main road crosses the Union Canal- entrance is 400m up hill on left. The word SLOW is painted on the road at this point. Enter throught the large set of pillars , the lodge cottage will now be to the right - continue up the private driveway to Arden Country House, which is situated at the top of the drive on the right.
Getting there by ferry:- From Rosyth take M90 South over Forth Road Bridge, then 1st exit signposted A8000 & A904. At roundabout turn right onto A904, pass through Newtown Village, follow road until T junction. Turn left at Champany Restaurant (A801). Follow to Linlithgow- turn right onto High Street, then left at roundabout (A706). Exit town, under railway bridge- follow A706. After approx. 1/2 mile road crosses Union Canal. Entrance is 400m up on left. Enter at Lodge Cottage & follow drive to Belsyde House & Arden House. Arden House is on the right on reaching teh top of the driveway.
