In the garden the charming summer house has views toward Ben Nevis and the Nevis mountain range.
Spean Bridge (4.5m) has a shop, a hotel restaurant and a Woollen Mill where you can pick up whisky, knitwear and tartan. The Great Glen Way runs near the house and heads along the banks of the Caledonian Canal to Fort William (10m) where there are lots of activities from skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking or sea kayaking.
