All four bedrooms are spacious and are fitted to a very high standard, with quality kingsize beds and luxurious private facilities en suite. Fastext colour TV, hairdryer and complimentary hospitality tray in all rooms. We prepare a full menu Scottish breakfast each morning. There is ample private car parking and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Ardno House offers guests the perfect base to tour the breath taking splendour of the Scottish West Highlands. Set amidst some of Scotland's finest mountains, where wild life abounds, the area is a paradise for walkers and climbers alike. Day trips to the delightful Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle; Urquhart Castle at Loch Ness; or sailing from the lovely port of Oban to the beautiful Hebridean Islands of Mull and Iona are highlights of any visit to the West Highlands.
There are numerous historic sites all around the area. Just a short drive away is the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular towering mountains. The monument to the Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Kidnapped' is situated on the wooded hillside behind Ardno House. If you wish to stretch your legs when you arrive, there is an amazing hillside walk behind the house with more wonderful panoramic views across the loch to the hills beyond.
The Caledonia Way, National Route 78 of the National Cycling Network runs directly in front of the property making Ardno House a perfect overnight stop for cycling breaks.
There are several very good eating places within 5 minutes drive of the house, or if pre-booked we can provide an evening meal.
