The island of Coll has something for everyone. Stunning beaches for relaxation or play, opportunities to get close to wildlife, including the elusive corncrake, basking sharks and otters. You can enjoy the machair in full flower or gaze at the number of stars to be seen in the island's wonderful, unpolluted dark sky. There are lots of interesting places to walk or cycle, with amazing scenery round every corner. You can kayak, surf and more. To get here you travel by ferry from Oban, a journey that takes you through stunning scenery. A short drive from the ferry terminal will bring you to the grounds of An Cridhe, in the village of Arinagour, a few minutes walk away from the island's shops, hotel, cafe and post office. The pitches are basic and not serviced. On-site there are WCs and coin operated showers open 24/7, as well as an area to wash dishes and a coin operated laundry room. The community centre (An Cridhe) is open from 9am to 9pm everyday where there are spaces to sit, Wi-Fi is available, and you might even catch one of the local events held in the centre at different times of the year. Booking is essential. Pets welcome.
