Perhaps the most striking feature about Auchenhew House is the fantastic cliff top location and the glorious views across the sea to the Antrim coast, Mulls of Kintyre and Galloway. Inside, this beautiful traditional holiday house, built in 1887, takes advantage of those views with a large dining kitchen where French doors open on to the terrace and garden high above the sea.
Inside, the house is very well furnished and equipped making it a perfect spot for self catering family holidays. The large kitchen/dining room is spacious and bright, perfect for family gatherings at the end of the day. The garden has large lawns, patio area, BBQs and furniture – perfect for watching the sea and enjoying a meal outside in the warm weather.
To the rear of the house are two additional holiday cottages – both have their own entrances and access to the gardens and can be offered with Auchenhew house to create a very spacious holiday house for 16. This is a delightful house where you are sure of your privacy in the extensive garden and yet in a superb location less than a mile from the sandy Kildonan beach and the local hotel.
Arran is such a lovely island and an excellent holiday destination - go there and you will absorb the sense of what makes it special and Auchenhew is the ideal place to do it with its truly breathtaking sea views.
