Welcome to Balliemeanoch Breaks, a beautifully restored farmhouse B&B in a the Argyll forest, close to the shores of Loch Fyne and Loch Eck and with breathtaking views across open countryside to the surrounding hills.

A luxurious bed and breakfast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, set in a peaceful rural location in the heart of the Argyll Forest and within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Just over one hour from Glasgow Airport, by the village of Strachur and close to the shores of Loch Fyne and Lock Eck, Balliemeanoch is ideally situated for exploring the Cowal peninsula, Argyll's west coast and further afield into the Scottish Highlands. Whether you are looking for an active break or a quiet country retreat, it's a perfect spot. For keen walkers, Section 5 of the Loch Lomond & Cowal Way (Strachur to Lochgoilhead) starts close to our front door.

Balliemeanoch was once a working farm, with a farmhouse and traditional steading dating back to the mid 19th century. The farmhouse has now been carefully restored to create a lovely family home and a high quality bed and breakfast. At Balliemeanoch today you’ll find smart, spacious and comfortable accommodation, great home cooking, friendly service and a wealth of activities on our doorstep.

We have two large, light and airy double or twin rooms, with ‘jack and jill’ style en suite shower room, ideal for family groups or friends who are happy to share a bathroom. You can book both rooms together or, if you need just one room, we close off the second room to give you private ensuite facilities. The rooms are well appointed with plenty of little touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible – free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities (including ground coffee and fresh milk), flatscreen tv with freesat channels, ipod dock, hairdryer. Also at your disposal during your stay is our cosy lounge, complete with woodburning stove, and equipped with books, board games, playing cards and tv.

Rates include a fabulous Scottish breakfast using local produce – wherever possible homemade and home grown. Eggs are from our own free-ranging chickens, we bake our own bread and we make preserves using the wild harvest from the surrounding countryside.
