Balnabodach occupies a stunning hillside location, situated on a small livestock farm which is home to a herd of Dexter cows and a flock of blackface sheep. The cottage provides very comfortable accommodation offering a haven of tranquility whilst being ideally located for exploring the Highlands. You can enjoy the countryside although only 5 miles from the main A9 and 10 miles from Inverness.

Take a trip to Aviemore (30miles) and the Cairngorm Mountains where a funicular railway will take you high up the mountain. RSPB Loch Garten is about 10 miles from Aviemore and is home of ospreys in Scotland. Drive through spectaular scenery to Fort Augustus, call into RSPB Loch Ruthven approximately 5 miles from the cottage You may spot Nessie while visting Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. Culloden Battle Field, scene of the last pitched battle in Britain, is less than 10 miles away.
Fish for pike, perch and trout on Loch Bunachton (part of the farm) or relax and enjoy the scenery. A mile along the road is Dunlichity Trout Fishery which consists of 2 lochans well stocked with quality brown, blue and rainbow trout.
