The house is suitable for a maximum of 10 people. There are 5 bedrooms (3 kingsize and 2 twin-bedded) 4 of which are en-suite, wi-fi throughout and a hot tub on the large decked area.
The house nestles in a prime location on Ord Hill, 10 minutes north of Inverness. This gives easy access to the A9, with plenty of opportunity to explore the North of Scotland, including the NC500 route (Scotland’s answer to the Route 66) experiencing the splendour of the rugged Highland coastline. Alternatively, separate trips to the west could include the Isle of Skye, Applecross, Gairloch and Ullapool, to the north there is Tain, Dornoch, Golspie, John o’Groats and the Orkney Isles, or south to the great whisky distilleries on Speyside, along with the Cairngorms. Loch Ness offers superb views, with the Nessie myth remaining.
The Moray Firth is famous for dolphin watching, with regular boat trips available. The local wildlife includes red kites and rarely, even red squirrels. Birdsong is a lovely feature.
The Ord Hill Forestry choices of walks are ideal for stretching your legs and can be accessed directly through the house’s private wooded area behind the garden.
